EAC Certification
EAC certification and declaration is obligatory product conformity assessment system on the territory of Russia and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). EAC system has replaced separate national certification systems of EAEU members (e.g. GOST R obligatory product certification scheme). Conformity assessment based on the requirements of Technical Regulations of Custom Union (Eurasian Union). EAC certification or declaration give producer the right to supply product to any EAEU member state.
Eurasian Economic Union includes five member states:
- Russian Federation
- Republic of Kazakhstan
- Republic of Belarus
- Republic of Kyrgyzstan
- Republic of Armenia
More than 40 Technical Regulations of Custom Union
(EAEU) cover most products imported to EAEU market.
When Technical Regulations do not cover the product, it can be subject of the “old” national certification system (e.g. chemicals).
EAC certification
This is a type of conformity assessment to the requirements of TR CU. An authorized body with appropriate scope of accreditation shall do EAC certification.
EAC declaration
This is a type of conformity assessment to the requirements of TR CU on the part of the producer and authorized by special agreement resident of one of the EAEU member state (official representative of producer). In the process of declaration the producer and the representing it legal entity or person.
